You Can Learn a Lot from
Working a Cook Out Drive-Thru

1. I've seen every type of person you could think of

I've seen some at their best and some at their worst, but the most important thing I've taken away from my experience is just how far leading with empathy and respect can take you.

As a brand manager, I work to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed and open to doing their best.

2. I know how to adapt and pivot quickly

There's no way to predict when something is about to go wrong. When met with a bump in the road, I am always the first to take the initiative and figure out the best way forward.

I am someone who is calm and optimistic, and quick on my feet when it's time to pivot and take a new path.

3. I listen carefully and apply what I'm hearing

I love to listen to others and learn more about their unique perspectives. I've found that the best insights come from open, welcoming discussion.

But Don't Just Take it from Me

Here's what some of my peers have said about me

"Jack listens deeply, thinks carefully, and solves problems with a level of empathy and clarity that makes you feel instantly grounded."

"Jack is a go-getter who takes initiative during team projects. He doesn’t shy away from providing constructive feedback and challenging assumptions to strengthen the work.

Even more, he readily accepts and responds to others’ feedback, acting as a team player without ego. Beyond his work ethic, Jack balances professionalism with humor and an outgoing personality."

Things I Know Too Much About

Movies

Give me a ticket to the scariest horror movie you can think of but don't even think about getting me to step foot in a haunted house.

Here are just a few of my favorites that I've seen recently:

Cleveland Sports

You can probably guess where I land on the MJ vs. Lebron debate. I've watched a lot of losing teams over the years but that just makes the wins feel even better.

Buc-ee's

It's the best and worst thing about America. It took me 25 years, but I finally got to experience Buc-ee's for the first time this past fall.
